Mixology

The weekend is here!! And it’s a 3-day weekend… So forward to catching up on sleep and catching up with friends. A good way to enjoying a 3 day weekend is treating yourself to brunch.

If you live in the L.A. Area head over to The Grove for brunch at Mixology. It’s a cute upstairs outdoor cocktail bar that serves good food and drinks. I love the Grove and would go there often if I lived closer to it.

I attended Mixology for a friends birthday celebration and we had a great time. The seating is perfect for a group event.

And brunch does come with a round of unlimited mimosas for two hours for only $28!

Their brunch menu is great. Mixology isn’t considered a gastropub but the menu gives you a gastropub type feel. Of course we all sampled each other’s food and it was all delicious. We even got to meet the Chef and praise him for our meal.

Now on to the food:

The Hen House- fried chicken sandwich with a golden hash brown, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, and a side of bacon gravy. Add applewood smoked bacon for .50

The Kale Salad- goat cheese, dried cranberries, and roasted sunflower seeds, served with agave dressing. My friend added a piece of salmon for protein.

I ordered the Southwest Burrito- chorizo, red and green peppers, onions & potatoes topped with avocado, sour cream and pico de Gallo.

BBQ Chicken Quesadilla- flame broiled BBQ chicken, sautéed red onions, Jack & cheddar cheeses topped with BBQ & chipotle sauce.

Doesn’t all that sound delicious! Mixology brunch is on both Saturday and Sunday.
So everyone enjoy your 3 weekend, eat good food and be safe :-).
