Nick & Stefs Steakhouse

So when your in your 30s, your taste palette tends to change. All the old food places like McDonalds and Friday’s don’t really suit you anymore. You still go to these restaurants every now and then but they’re not really your first choice anymore. After a hard week at work you just want to go out and enjoy a nice meal with some wine. Enter the Steakhouse.

Nothing pleases the mid 30 year old than a nice steakhouse. We all know the popular places such as Ruth Chris, Mastros and Lawrys. But they are not the only steakhouses out there to visit.

Nick & Stef is a nice quiet steakhouse located in Downtown LA. We dined here for NYE and enjoyed a cozy pre-fixe meal while counting down to midnight. I have never heard of the place but my fancy restaurant friends reassured me that I would enjoy it and I did.

I loved the ambience of this restaurant. Dim lighting and there’s a wall full of meat on display . The carnivore in me was pleased and the meat is grass fed which is a bonus. It’s definetly a place to get dressed up for and enjoy a nice evening out.

Our pre-fixe meal came with a Ceasar salad as a starter that was prepared table side. We also enjoyed a nice 6oz Petit Filet, JBS mashed potatoes, with cast iron wild roasted mushrooms and scallops.
And of course pairing the perfect cocktail with a steak always makes the food experience more pleasurable. I don’t normally drink Red but I’ve learned that a good Red is always pleasant with steak. We enjoyed a nice bottle of Cab with our meal.

So whether is something special or just to enjoy a nice meal, if your in the Downtown LA area, stop over at Nick & Stefs Steakhouse and relax.

Oh and make sure you leave room to enjoy one of their delicious desserts
